ECAVI runs a Cervical Cancer Prevention programme for companies and organizations, which is divided into three parts both of which can be carried out on the same day or on different occasions, depending on individualized needs of a given organization.
Cancer of the cervix is the 4th most common cancer among women worldwide, and the 1st most common female cancer in women aged 15 to 44 years across East Africa. The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) causes virtually 100% of cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer screening can be done easily in a room or tent at your premises. For any organization, Sponsoring cervical cancer screening at your work place contributes a great deal to your cooperate social responsibility and employee welfare as an organization. You can fund a day’s event or half day event to help your female employees get a cervical cancer screen. All each female employee needs is less than 30 minutes off her work station to get the screening done.
